What is a Complex Query?

Local Environment Setup

  1. Download the Demo App
  2. Run npm install then npm start
  3. Navigate to Apollo Studio Explorer at https://localhost:4000/graphql

Complex Query Example

With the Demo App running, paste the following query into the Operation pane in your Apollo Studio Explorer:

query GetUserPosts($userId: ID!) {
  user(id: $userId) {
    id
    name
    email
    posts {
      id
      text
      likes

}        

Then paste the following json into the Variables panel of your Apollo Studio Explorer:

Click the blue "GetUserPosts" button to display the results, which will include the specified subset of the user's details and their associated posts.
