Kansas City Chief’s kicker Harrison Butker planted a big flag this week for traditional values as he gave a modest speech that wouldn’t have raised an eyebrow 30 years ago.
But in today’s woke, super sensitive, outrage addicted world, of course feathers were ruffled.
Lest you forget, we live in a world where encouraging college graduates to start a family is considered controversial amongst people who think men can menstruate.
Butker’s message was a breath of fresh air, a call to arms for those of us who believe in the bedrock principles of faith, family, and moral integrity. In a society that often derides these values, Butker stood tall and reminded us why they matter. He didn’t mince words, emphasizing the importance of a relationship with God and building a life centered around faith and family. In a world of shifting sands, these are the rocks we need to cling to.
We’re in desperate need of more men like Harrison Butker—men who aren’t afraid to speak the truth, to live out their beliefs, and to challenge the cultural drift towards moral relativism and secularism. His speech was a stark contrast to the usual commencement fare, which often sidesteps any mention of God or traditional values in favor of more "modern" themes.
But let’s be clear: Butker’s stance isn’t just admirable—it’s necessary. In an era where masculinity is often criticized and conservative values are under constant assault, his message is a rallying cry for men to reclaim their roles as leaders and protectors. It’s a call to stand firm in our beliefs, to lead with integrity, and to build lives of purpose and conviction.
Predictably, the reaction has been split. Conservatives have lauded Butker for his boldness and his willingness to say what so many of us are thinking but feel we can’t express. Progressives and single liberal women in particular, on the other hand, greeted the speech with banshee screeches and pearl clutching. But that only underscores the cultural divide we’re facing—and the need for voices like Butker’s to bridge that gap.
Butker’s speech is a reminder that conservative values still have a place in the public square. There’s a silent majority out there, longing for a return to the principles that built this country: faith, family, and a strong moral foundation. These aren’t just nostalgic ideals—they’re essential for the health and stability of our society.
In the end, Harrison Butker’s speech is a powerful testament to the enduring strength of conservative, Judeo-Christian values. His courage to stand up and speak out is an inspiration to men everywhere. We need more leaders like him, willing to defend and promote the principles that can guide us toward a more grounded and virtuous society.

While the entrenched legacy institutions tried their hardest to cancel or distance themselves from Butker, with the NFL even issuing a stern condemnation of his speech, times have changed. Less than a year or two ago, Butker might have faced cancellation. However, the collective response from the right—and notably from his own employer—has been a resounding "GFY."
Remember, in the NFL, you can be a rapist, woman beater, abandon your kids, a racist, misogynist, adulterer, you can be a number of things, a murder, assaulter.
One thing you can't be in the NFL is a truth-teller of Christianity.
Even the daughter of the owner of the KC Chiefs responded with a measured and well thought out response instead of the knee jerk apology we’ve seen from other elites whenever someone dares challenge the orthodoxy.
The pendulum is swinging. The degeneracy and corruption of the left has been exposed as mindless and soulless.
So here’s to Harrison Butker—may his message resonate far and wide. It’s time for us to take a stand, to reclaim our values, and to champion the timeless principles that define a meaningful and honorable life.
