Helping People Grow Wealthy & Healthy
1. Leave Self Doubt.
Big dreams begin only when self doubt ends.
# "It was the toughest challenge to go out of India with no sufficient capital & start business in Indonesia. It was all possible because I didn't doubt myself." L N Mittal
# "I have staked all my money with out any second thought to participate in the tender for telecom license & it paid me rich dividends. It was a great turning point of my life." Sunil Bharthi Mittal
2. Develop Strong Self Belief.
Mountains appear small when you possess strong self belief that comes out of the awareness that I am moving in the right direction.
# Alibaba Jack Ma: He is not an IT wizard. Yet, he possess a strong belief that helps him run very successfully one of the most popular e commerce portal in the world ALIBABA.COM.
# Larry Elison: He is the only one so far who stood against the stringent US Govt & made it to mend its laws. Does n't it speak about his guts & strong self belief?
3. Embrace Ethics.
Being ethical is what makes you distinct. It provides you an invincible aura. As long as you are on the platform of ethics, you enjoy the game. Outside the periphery of ethics, winning is more dangerous than losing.
#Naryana Murthy: "I don't mind visiting a couple of times & wait for a year but will not pay a single penny as bribe."
Steel resolve. Iron frame work.
# Ratan Tata was asked:"You are waiting for your approval from so long! You know that giving 15crores will set up your airlines easily." Ratan Tata replied, " If I had done that then I won't have been able to see myself everyday in the mirror. I won't have been able to sleep."
This is ethics. The airlines was launched in January 2015. It took almost 3 decades for him to do it. But I know it's a great feeling when you achieve something keeping your ethics and self respect intact.
4. Chose an idea which you wanna live for the rest of your life.
There is ample scope to excel in every segment & it will be possible only if you are passionate enough. Hence, the first thing is to search where your heart is. Then, let your mind follow your heart. There are so many examples of billionaires who changed their directions many times for the reason that they didn't find their heart. Explore. Try different things before you chose upon the final one & then stick to it for life. Miracles happen. One's passion will be at the zenith if one could find a task that one would love do even if not paid for.
#A M Nayak struggled to get a job initially. After a struggle for the initial 3 years after his graduation, he secured a job in L&T. That helped him find his heart. He took only a single day leave in his half a century career at L&T.
#Anil Agrawal: It took initially 3 years for him to locate his heart in 'Mining' & since then, there is no turning back.
#L N MIttal: Steel is his first love & it gave him a big life. He was handling textiles business of his father in Kolkata before he landed in Indonesia for exploring his heart.
5. Give Life To Your Dream.
You will encounter many who strongly advise that your idea will not work out but only a few who support you to go ahead. You shall not look back & move forward with your gut feel. Finally, the world will notice the birth of a great idea & not before.
# Apple: Steve Jobs was by heart passionate about any thing sleek. He was the first to dream about combing music, camera & mobile. Ultra slim handsets & lappies have made the world mad about apple. Steve Jobs while inspecting the ipod walked over to an aquarium, and dropped the iPod in the tank. After it touched bottom, bubbles floated to the top. He instructed:"Those are air bubbles. That means there's space unnecessary. Make it smaller." That is how he cares for his dream.
# Dr. Norman Borlaug, the father of Green Revolution dreamed that no one on this earth should suffer from starvation. That's why he invested whole his life into R&D. His invention of hybrid seeds is feeding the whole world today. He would have become the worlds 'one & only one' TRILLIONAIRE had he gone for a patent.
6. Never Be In Business For The Greed Of Money.
Greed spoils. Greed Kills. Greed causes failure. No Greed at all. You need only speed & not greed. Just analyse: If you start buying more than what you need, you end up selling what you have. So, one should not ride the horse of greed because excess of any thing is dangerous. Leading business successfully with deep rooted social commitment is the way how sustainable organizations are built.
# Satyam: Once a highly successful soft ware company but no where on the map today. Cooking books of account by the top management led to its down fall. When ever greed enters the head, size doesn't matter. The empire collapses. Financial propriety, ethics, prudence & discipline are very vital.
# Kingfisher Airlines: Started by the king of good times but lost its sheen due to liquidity crisis. Salaries of employees were unpaid for over 8 months in a row. The unnatural & flamboyant life style of the promoter is severely criticized.
# Sahara Group: Once upon a time a very successful company but got into shambles & today, its Chief Worker is in jail for over a year. The company is not in a position to deposit the stipulated security amount to get him released on bail despite owning star hotels in international destinations.
7. Chose The Right Team.
The challenge that every entrepreneur faces is about how to recruit the right person for the right job. One thing is sure that no recruit shall be the right person if he/she does nit fit into the team. Every visionary leader forecasts the future needs & grooms the people accordingly. Infact, it takes min 3 years to build a right team. It is a very strategic task.
#Airasia: The first thing Ratan Tata did after he signed JV with Tony Fernandis was to look out for the CEO. He appointed Mittu Chandilya as CEO who then formed his team simultaneously working for Govt Clearances. That's the emphasis of Business Leaders on Team Building.
# Mahindra Satyam: During the take over of Satyam, Anand Mahindra's primary emphasis was on finding the right team who can steer Satyam out of the deep crisis. He got the right team in place & then took over. The transition was a very tough exercise but successful. That's the power of the Right Team behind successful turn around.
8. Win Friends. Collaborate with Like minded entrepreneurs.
Olx & Flipkart: The friendship between CEO of OLX Amarjit Batra & Flip Kart co-founder Sanchi Bansal resulted into a marketing tie-up that helped each other run a joint campaign -"Sell on OLX & then, buy on Flipkart". Both the companies saved 50% of their marketing budgets.
K M BIrla & Kishore Biyani: When K M Birla thought to take over Pantaloons of Future Group, it was the friendship between himself & the tough nut Kishore Biyani that made a win- win deal possible. That's how friendship wins business.
