Join us in applauding Bart Kulach, scheduled to share his expertise on Talent Management and the strategies for attracting and developing a high-performing diverse team during his panel discussion on November 23rd in The Hague.

Q. How would you define the term "Talent Management" in the context of your panel?

A. High-performing, well educated talent is still a rare gem – this is why I see talent management as one of the leadership virtues – as the entirety of measures to motivate, up- and cross-skill, retain current and attract new colleagues by taking care of them and their work environment by us as leaders.

Q. Why do you think addressing migrating to the cloud is relevant currently, specifically?

A. Migrating to the cloud brings several advantages when done properly. In general, allows to benefit from the out-of-the-box features enabling automation, better security, observability etc. It also allows – especially when using PaaS and SaaS – to limit the effort and cost needed to manage commodity, and make better use of our talent (instead of letting our engineers focus on repeatable tasks).

Q. Who do you think will benefit from joining your session?

A. Predominantly senior and mid-tier leaders

Q. Where does your passion for your role come from, and what’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone following your footsteps?

A. The passion for the role comes from my great passion to work for and with people – being for one another and caring for one another help all of us grow and head towards the same direction.

My key advice is – be kind. Kindness – regardless of the cultural, social or business context – helps building bridges and support relationships. There will always be situations where you need to be firm or tough, but there is no reason not to be kind.

Q. What was it about the CIO/CISO Benelux Summit that stood out to you as an environment in which you would like to share your knowledge and expertise?

A. I love the diversity of topics, attendees and speakers – which provides a great opportunity for conversation and connection.
