Conference

Building on the success of the previous seven Fintech conferences held from 2017 to 2023, the 8th Shanghai-London-Edinburgh Fintech Conference will take place on 26 October 2024. This prestigious event is jointly organized by the Shanghai Institute of International Finance Centre (SIIFC) at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, the University of Edinburgh Business School, and the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction at University College London.

The field of Financial Technology (FinTech) continues to grow rapidly, offering rich opportunities for research and innovation. This conference aims to showcase high-quality theoretical and empirical research on FinTech, with a focus on its impact on various aspects of finance and economics. We welcome submissions that explore cutting-edge developments and offer new insights into topics such as, but not limited to:

  • The intersection of FinTech (e.g., artificial intelligence, blockchain, cryptocurrency, non-fungible tokens, machine learning) with capital markets, corporate finance, corporate governance and financial accounting.
  • ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) issues in FinTech
  • Fintech, financial development and inclusion
  • Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and regulatory technology (RegTech)

·? No Registration Fee: There is no fee for speakers to participate in this conference.

·? High-Profile Forum: The conference will feature an onsite forum with key policymakers, media and top industry professionals in Shanghai, while the academic sessions will be held online.
