Barrier Films- The Packaging Prodigy

Here is where a products packaging plays an important role. It should not just look appealing, but also must carry certain properties which keep the products inside the package fresh and aromatic. A products packaging is mostly a three layered structure- the printing layer, the sealant layer and the middle layer to provide the required barrier properties to the product inside. This middle layer, can be made of different substances like aluminum/PET/ BOPP to impart the required properties to the laminate structure. These are the properties which keep your food fresh, aromatic and free from moisture for a long time, increasing the shelf life of the product. Unfortunately, these structures are not fully recyclable due to the presence of different materials in different layers of the structure.
