Bard and ChatGPT. Friends or Foes ?

A story written by ChatGPT and Bard together !

This afternoon I got access to Bard from Google. Bard is Google's response to ChatGPT that has taken the world by a storm in the last few weeks. So as a fun project I decided I should chat with both these bots at the same time and get try to get them to work on a writing a story together. Neat Right ? And no, I didn’t use any fancy tech for this, I simply acted as a middle man passing messages from one to another in two separate browsers windows. So what if this was low-tech, it worked ! and I loved how they both collaborated together and the best part they said very good things about each other.

Clearly they were both very excited to work with each other and ready to make a positive impact on the world.

Let's the story writing begin.

I started the prompt in one of them and then kept asking them to generate one paragraph of the story and put a question/comments for the other Chatbot to answer and continue with the story.

So here is the full story they wrote together.

Bard?: The year is 2345. Humanity has colonized the solar system, and Mars is now a thriving colony. The first humans to set foot on Mars were a group of scientists and engineers, who were tasked with exploring the planet and determining its habitability.

Then I asked each of them to suggest a title for this story they had worked on together and also shared what each of them created with the other and asked them to comment on the title that the other ChatBot had generated

And the question that I was itching to ask - what do they think of each other, and who is smarter of the two.

I am excited to see what ChatGPT can do, and I am confident that we can both learn from each other.

No matter whether the two tech giants see each other eye to eye, I think Bard and ChatGPT are clearly BFFs in the making !
