Barcode. Price Tag for Greenland.

Barcode. Price Tag for Greenland.

Well, here we go again. Enter “Mysterious Man” with an audacious plan to buy Greenland. He promises rain, rain, and even more rain—because who doesn’t want rain on demand in the Arctic? Oh, and a “reflected sun” to shorten the polar night . The price tag? Half a billion dollars a year, to replace Denmark’s assistance and to give Greenland an independence.

This man, not-so-mysterious after all, lands in Nuuk, takes a brisk dip in the icy fjord and claims he’s hobnobbed with Greenlandic politicians, civil servants, mining tycoons, and the like. All of whom, according to him, rolled out the red carpet. In reality? Who knows.

The pitch? A sprawling industrial base powered by nuclear energy and local uranium—because when you’re already in the Arctic, why not dabble in radioactive elements? Then, the pièce de résistance: a prototype of Terminus on Earth, as if Greenland needed a sci-fi plot twist, before blasting off to Mars.

And the people of Greenland? Ah, yes. Them. He has a plan for them too. In their place, he envisions a parade of young international male techcore, arriving to the world’s biggest island.

Where else can you live out your ever dreams if not in Nuuk? Definitely, not in the U.S. Apparently, it’s all about “heroism and sacrifice,” which translates loosely to “you’ll suffer, but you’ll look good doing it.” Oh, and “hot girls” as a recruitment bonus.

He claims 50,000+ eager pioneers are already on the waiting list, drawn in by his SoHo penthouse parties and soirées at the Yale Club, where he channels a Parisian Enlightenment salon. Or at least that’s the pitch.

Meet Dryden Brown, a 28-year-old former competitive surfer turned visionary. He co-founded Praxis, a project to create a "crypto-native network state.” Greenland, he insists, is the perfect blank canvas—natural resources, strategic Arctic positioning, and an endless supply of rare-earth metals.

His viral tweet garnered 1,000,000 views, which in the crypto world, qualifies as a diplomatic triumph.

We’ve seen this movie before. But I might not know something, or be mistaken. What do you think?
