According to MARCA, there is a looming shift on Barcelona players salary. This looming shift entails the Catalans trying to re-balance Barcelona players salary and has taken steps to negotiate salary cuts with three veteran players: Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets.
This is the first time that Pique, Busquet, and Alba will be asked to reduce their base salaries to help free up the club’s wage budget.
The trios have previously agreed to delay payments owed to them until later in their contracts, and they have waived some bonus payments as well.
