BARBARA H. WALL

FOUNDER/CEO TUATARA MEDIA Media Executive/Independent Producer/Strategic Advisor/Business Development

Barbara Wall has a wide-ranging career in global multi-platform content development, programming and production. She’s held senior-level studio and network executive positions throughout the entertainment industry, and in 2023 founded TUATARA MEDIA, providing strategic consulting and advisory services for intellectual property (IP)acquisition, library content analysis, and brand consultation for corporate boards, private equity firms, emerging companies, and high-profile individuals focused on entertainment-sector business development.

Barbara is perhaps most known for her fierce commitment to creative excellence, consistently earning awards and accolades, critical acclaim and ratings benchmarks. Most recently, as Executive Producer, Barbara and the teams at Annapurna and Amazon garnered a Peabody Award and Golden Globe nomination for Dead Ringers, from EP Alice Birch (Normal People) and starring the

Academy Award-winning Rachel Weisz. In December, 2024 Barbara wrapped principal photography on Love in the Air, a Hallmark Channel

romantic comedy starring Lorenzo Lamas, Gail O’Grady and Paul Green.

Currently Tuatara Media is partnered with acclaimed actress Regina Hall (Girls Trip) on three drama series which they will take to market in early 2025.

And in 1Q25, with Emmy-winning writer/showrunner Glen Morgan (X-Files), Barbara is pitching a genre series from Birdbox author Josh Malerman starring Lucy Boynton.

Barbara has also worked with renowned screenwriter Joe Eszterhas, one of Tuatara’s first clients. Mining Mr. Eszterhas’s extensive film library with such iconic titles as Basic Instinct and Showgirls, and most known for his work on Flashdance, Sliver and The Jagged Edge, they targeted over twenty wholly-owned scripted projects ranging from a bio-pic soccer series about one of the founders of Real Madrid; an original series based on Joe’s early years as a precocious journalist at Rolling Stone; to an epic theatrical motion-picture called My Flesh and Blood, based on the true story behind Joe’s discovery of his father’s past as a Nazi collaborator during WWII.

THE TUATARA MEDIA REMIT:

Since Barbara Wall started Tuatara Media in January 2023, her interests and skillsets have grown exponentially from her ability to demonstrate adaptability, enthusiasm and the ongoing desire to learn. While vigilantly maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit, as a business owner/founder, she wears multiple hats, forged by her expertise in branding, media advisory, strategic planning and business development, along with refining her already extensive experience in the entertainment content sectors of development, business affairs, production management and operations.

THE TUATARA MEDIA CORPORATE PHILOSOPHY:

The company’s approach to strategic content and branding stems from the art of careful curation and long-term planning. The key is to identify assets that can live in a global, multi-platform 360 universe - from series, theatrical, live-stage, publishing, gaming, podcasts, immersive experiences, to E-Sports and beyond, with music/merchandising/licensing components built-in.

From the moment the commitment is made to invest time and money, the goal is to be efficient, fast and tactical; to develop holistic umbrella brands that can sustain for generations to come; and to maximize revenue potential by building out from individual assets. Identifying the right portfolio assets requires a customized Litmus Test that reflects each client’s ethos, culture, and market resonance. The Litmus Test is a risk-mitigator designed to combat typical market vagaries (we’ll know it when we see it/wait and see/abundance of caution) and significant financial constriction. It is an essential tool because it helps to distinguish worthwhile investment with a secure ROI, from a one- off/flyer that “might work if the stars align.”

This is why Tuatara Media is different: We formulate the Litmus Test. We have the track-record, depth of relationships and quantifiable experience to identify the assets and design the build-out. We build the brand from the brand. This is how we can help. And we do whatever it takes.

----

Barbara Wall has been a featured speaker and panelist at numerous US and international television conferences, including the Sydney-based ASTRA Program, Moscow’s annual CTC Russian and Eastern Block Television forum, the Media X-Change television conferences, and the USC Peter Stark Graduate Program.

Born and raised in New York, Barbara hopes to one day produce a Broadway musical, returning to her family’s roots in theater, where her father was a life-time member of the Shubert Organization and her mother was a dancer in the original productions of Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma and South Pacific.
