Bar the Bar at Bar. Plz Read if u r an advocate

Dear Colleagues,
(With an apology to all those fellow bar members who do not fall under the orbit of the same as described in the list below):

I have been enrolled as bar member at wazirabad bar association on 2009 as my mother bar association.I have been enrolled in punjab bar council,punjab since 2009. I have been enrolled as advocate at lahore high court lahore on 2012.I have practiced in lahore from 2014 to 2016 at lahore high court lahore, all sub-ordinate courts, all tribunals and all special courts. I started legal practice as advocate in tehsil wazirabad, district gujranwala, division gujranwala,punjab, pakistan since 2016.

I want to discuss some issues observed n faced by me during my practice as follow:

1. under what law a senior can insult, humiliate, hurt self respect, always make juniors to sit outside of main sitting place in private chambers, instructions to maintain the decorum of private chambers (but same instructions are never adhered by chamber holders'), an attitude of suppression is always adopted towards juniors, legal knowledge is injected as per requirement or mood of the mentor, impatience to up rising n intelligent juniors, never taught legal ethics but always taught personal ethics, abusive n vituperative language used to address juniors, always scolding, liking n disliking, sheer show of nepotism, acting like impostors, paying nothing financially, pressing to cast vote of their choice, but not always.

2. There are two types of advocates:
i- Advocate of brief.
Advocate who earn lively on basis of briefs only.
ii- Advocate without brief.
Advocate who earn from all sources n resources, legal n illegal, using the platform of bar.
Now the advocates without briefs have become so powerful due to their threat n fear, courage n rage, wealth n manpower that they have become godfathers in almost all bars. Under what law an advocate of brief is suppressed by them.They are usually called n known as property dealers when discussed privately in whispering tone. These advocates without briefs who have hardly appeared or bothered to appear in courts except in the cases in which they are personally charged. For any good reason, why minority or handful of these have not only hijacked the politics, votes, finance and all other ancillary benefits of bar but also have become the stalwarts in general politics. who will establish n dare to restore n resume the respect n integrity of advocate of brief.

3. The regime at every bar is selected by the votes of the concerned house. The regime after taking oath is converted into cartels n monsters, who do not even bother to listen to non voter (even, if under suspicion), fellow colleagues, even for any sort of help in genuine professional and personal, individual or collective problem, except campaign party.

4. At all bars, where new judicial complexes are under construction, the allotment of chambers at ground floor or otherwise attractive chambers, is as sheer show of power, depth of relations n nepotism.

5. Due to expenses being incurred upon the campaign in all elections of any bar association or bar council, the financially sound n stable, non practicing advocates are involved for future benefits, being a professional community, the deserving or competent advocates do not dare to plunge into the arena. Being a professional fraternity, these non practicing cartels should be tamed and brought into practicing line otherwise, the platform of bar must not be used for any non professional activities, which is not only illicit and illegal.

6. When any mishap is happened to one of above mentioned cartels, property dealers and non practicing advocates, the bar association or bar council is used to elevate their stature even higher than before or at least restoration of the fearful threat to whole society and especially in the vicinity in which they rove n cruise in their land cruisers.

7. The lady bar members are treated with discrimination both in gender and profession. They are supposed to sit alone in lady bar rooms, in court chambers, in private chambers and they are most respectfully remembered at the time of elections only. Otherwise they are hardly realized to be even existed in profession.

I request to all advocates who have given their lives to this profession to please step forward for restoration of professional norms, values, ethics, respect, integrity, rule of law and implementation of Legal Practitioners and Bar councils Act, 1973, in true letter n spirit.
