Bar to Hospitality

Bar to Hospitality

Bartending is a job that requires a lot of skill training and discipline. Recently, many budding hospitality enthusiasts are worried who are waiting to enter this field of food and beverage.

We all need to understand that all of us are affected, and we need to wait for our industry to pull back together. This is closely associated with travel, tourism and many industries which are connected in one or the other way. The most important thing to remember is to be mentally prepared and remain connected with family & friends. Life & work will always find a way to get you moving.

For students, there is a lot of free online content related to food & beverage to refer and to get certified. Use this time to be more productive. Learn a new skill. Be active. Education is a powerful tool to keep you occupied as well as help you to cross this time period.

For people who have lost jobs, put yourself together, and assess your strengths and opportunities. Analyse your expenses which will assist you optimise savings and expenses. Talk to people from the industry who might be able to help. Keep looking around don’t compare it with a job you were doing. Take it in a manner that you are learning a new skill and its paying you. Always remember to be focused on whatever job you are doing even though you have never done it before. Keep the faith that you will get back to what you used to do or something much better.

I thought to write and share this after talking to my friends from the industry and a few students who are pursuing hospitality courses and are worried. We will all be together and fight through it. Once again pick up your phones and call up your family & friends if you need help. Do not put yourself in a state of loneliness. Not all help or relief that is offered is monetary. Be upfront don’t hesitate to call up a friend.
