We have taken into account certain environmental, social and cultural principles in our design and construction. Rock formations from the seismic activity of the Teide volcano fit perfectly into the minimalist architecture of the hotel.

Contributing to the local economy is also by consuming local.?

Finca Ecológica La Calabacera is a certified organic farm in a banana plantation, with fruit and vegetable sales service throughout the island of Tenerife. Thanks to its 150,000 m2 of different types of organic crops, we offer our guests a unique cuisine, fresh and local products, all while acting positively on the society. ?

We decided to promote the use of organic materials with an eco-friendly alternative to commonly used plastic cards.

Our supplier, Global Card System, is the first in the industry to get certified by Forest Stewardship Council (FSC ). Some of the raw materials are from waste wood, and they take advantage to rejuvenate them into delicate wooden key cards and a series of wooden products. The process doesn't involve forest destruction. It helps a lot of wood waste to be reused.??

We incorporate those materials in our decor with full natural, raw & organic elements SCOPE certificated Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) by the Control Union Certification, such as our pool towels made at 100% of Organic Cotton or wicker baskets. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the world’s leading standard in processing textiles made with organic fiber, which includes ecological and social criteria, and supported by independent certifications throughout the textile manufacturing chain.
