Bank Holiday Sunday Morning Ponderings
I sit here, on the bed, my eldest delivered to church where she is unsure whether she will be needed to be a part of the choir or will be serving at the alter this morning.
As I drove her to church this morning, the thought crossed my mind that sometime during the coming week I should be getting my new glasses. This is both an exciting and scary thought almost in equal measure. Exciting because when you find yourself at the cricket and unable to read the scoreboard - it prompts a conversation which then creates an appointment to check out the strength of your current specs. Hence I now have a new pair on the way.
Fear because in the change from the old glasses to the new ones there is bound to be a time of adjustment as my eyes get used to the new prescription. This has a habit of being quite unsettling and sometimes makes me feel quite unwell.
It made me think that life can sometimes be like this, just as we travel through it in general. It maybe that for you you as you look at the world around you. Some things feel a bit out of focus or unclear. Sometimes this can be a prompt to have a look and see what can be done to adjust things to make them better for you. Sometimes that requires the help of others, people that you know or perhaps someone new who might be able to help you.
Don’t be afraid to ask, to seek the help that you need. To make an adjustment to enable you to “see more clearly”. I hope you have an amazing day, thank you for reading my musings and I hope they are of some encouragement as you go through today.
