Bangladesh: Direct flights from Bangladesh to China have been increased to eight per month
The Civil Aviation Administration of China has approved Bangladesh Airlines to open routes between Dhaka-Kunming and Dhaka-Guangzhou to further facilitate personal exchanges between China and Bangladesh. Bangladesh Airlines headquartered in the capital Dhaka is the national airline of Bangladesh and the largest civil airline in Bangladesh.
With the mutual efforts of domestic competent authorities and the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, from July, the existing domestic flights of Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines will be increased from 1 to 2 per month, and the total number of direct flights from Bangladesh to China will be increased to 8 per month with the addition of US-Bangla Airlines and additional Bangladesh airlines. Please check each airline’s website for specific flight information.
At present, the pandemic situation is still severe globally and in host countries. The Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh reminds citizens and other travellers going to China to take precautions before departure, wear masks and avoid gathering together working together to prevent and minimize flight disruptions between China and Bangladesh.
According to the epidemic map of the global intelligent ship service management platform E-PORTS, under the influence of the new round of Omicron epidemic, the policies of Bangladeshi ports have been changed as follows:
1. Boarding from China to Bangladesh
Persons who have been fully vaccinated (vaccines approved by the World Health Organization) can enter China with vaccination certificates and valid visas; Those who have not been vaccinated or have not been fully vaccinated should enter China with negative nucleic acid test reports within 72 hours before boarding and valid visas. People with COVID-19 symptoms will be sent to designated institutions for testing or quarantine.
According to the visa exemption agreement signed between China and Bangladesh in 1989, Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports for diplomatic, official and business purposes can enter Bangladesh without visa. However, Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports for private reasons need to get a visa before going to Bangladesh. They can also apply for a arrival visa at Dhaka International Airport (for tourism and business only, they need to provide the name of the company invited, contact information and round-trip ticket to the immigration officer).
Notes:
The arrival visa of Bangladesh allows stay for 15 to 30 days, which cannot be extended generally. People applying for it shall not engage in paid business activities;
Hong Kong and Macao SAR passport holders do not enjoy arrival visa treatment, and must hold the visa before going to Bangladesh.

2. Disembarking from Bangladesh to China
All passengers going to China (including Chinese and foreign citizens) must have nucleic acid testing once respectively within 48 hours and 24 hours before boarding (with the interval of more than 24 hours between two nucleic acid tests).

2.2 Time limit for submission
Applicants should submit their health code application at least 6 hours before the departure of the flight.
For people with past infection history
People with infection history must be cured for more than 14 days before applying for a health code to return home. The recovery confirmation process is as follows: Passengers submit two negative nucleic acid test reports issued by the local testing agency as evidence of recovery to the embassy via email (There should be the interval of more than 24 hours between two nucleic acid tests, and the email address is [email protected] ）, the email title is “Name Telephone Rehabilitation Certification Materials”. The embassy will reply by email to confirm recovery after approval.
Warm Tips
1. As Bangladesh International Airport does not have the conditions for nucleic acid testing, passengers who need to transit through Bangladesh must leave the airport for nucleic acid testing, which will bring inconvenience to the passengers concerned.
2.?Please be sure to upload the health code application materials as required as soon as possible. If the health code is not submitted in time or the submitted materials are incomplete, the health code will not be obtained. Passengers should board the plane within the validity period of the health code and cooperate with the airline for inspection.
