Bandit is now a part of Gopuff

I’m thrilled to publicly announce that Bandit has been acquired by Gopuff, the go-to solution for immediate everyday needs. Bandit is jumpstarting the launch of Gopuff Kitchen, its new offering launching today that’s focused on freshly prepared food and drinks – including our delicious coffee, matcha & locally sourced breakfast sandwiches!?

Since closing the deal late last year, we’ve hit the ground running, developing Gopuff Kitchen and launching pilots across the country. In fact, as of this week, we have launched Gopuff Kitchen in more than 20 locations, including two in our hometown of Austin. Soon, wherever you are, you’ll be able to order your fresh coffee and food alongside the robust assortment of everyday essentials that Gopuff already provides.?

Here’s what makes me most excited about the partnership:?

1. Gopuff is vertically integrated: Gopuff has micro-fulfillment centers in every market that they serve. By integrating Kitchens into their existing locations, owning food preparation, and offering 30-minute delivery, we can ensure a high-quality, unbeatable experience for customers who are looking to get fresh food together with everyday essentials in one convenient order.
2. We’re building a completely new experience: No other product allows consumers to order fresh food and everyday essentials from one place, in one order, and in 30 minutes or less. Our unique model that features integrated facilities allows for the most seamless, convenient delivery experience on the market. For the first time, you can wake up and order a breakfast sandwich, matcha latte, and toothpaste refill all at once.
3. Coffee delivery is taking off: In China, 13% of all Starbucks orders are made through delivery, and app-only coffee shops are quickly becoming ubiquitous around the world. Consumer trends are giving us every indication that the US will follow suit, and we want to be at the forefront of it. Plus, who doesn’t want a delicious iced honey lavender latte delivered right to your door?
4. We’re empowering communities: Supporting local businesses and communities is a key priority for Gopuff and something I’m proud to now play a part in. Already since January, our team at Gopuff has added over 1,000 local products from more than 300 local partners, many of which are now being offered from Gopuff Kitchen.?

I am so thankful to everyone that put their hearts and support into Bandit and helped us get to where we are today, especially my co-founder James Gallagher. James and I launched our first Bandit coffee shop in 2019 because we believed that the same magical single-tap ordering experience we have in so many parts of our lives should be brought to something many of us do every day: ordering coffee. Within just a few weeks we knew there was something to it, as hundreds of people had made Bandit part of their daily routine.?

In my new role as Gopuff’s Vice President of Business Expansion, I look forward to developing and launching completely new experiences and products that raise the bar on convenience.
