Ban the Truth Bombs

Imagine living in Mariupol and having someone talk about "Truth bombs". Not only is it one more reason to hate hashtags it is inappropriate to anyone who has dealt with sectarian violence.

That's the kind of phrase that will undoubtedly be used on LinkedIn Audio. People are going to act like their words are more important than someone else's because there is an audio chatroom on this site. LinkedIn adds innovations the way Baskin Robbins adds ice cream flavors. What is The Flavor of Month?

Until they make groups an honest place for intelligent engagement instead of Echo Chamber of the Living Dead they should not promote new features. They have done nothing to stop fake profiles.

None of which has to do with rude phrases. I could not create a facade after the divorce. What my father put the entire family through tore asunder any perception of normalcy in relationships.

It definitely killed religious fear. How could they threaten me with the vague notion of fire and pitchforks when every action, every statement, was scrutinized in court? If I never see the inside of a courtroom again it will be too soon.

I speak my mind. To have the audacity to say I use "Truth bombs" implies the other person is Hiroshima or Nagasaki. You win an argument and lose a relationship. Prove your point. Must you be so violent?

The words we use affect our lives. In the all male review of the comic store a man said the back issue section was "Raped." Many issues of The Uncanny X-Men sold. He could have said the area was ransacked.

That's why the comics were put in the bins- so someone could find them and purchase the issues they needed. There is no reason to mention a violent crime that really isn't sexual. I don't want to open that can of worms.

Remove the concept of "Truth bombs" from your vocabulary. Even if Russia gives up their unnecessary invasion. Syria was bombed comparatively recently. There is no statute of limitations on historic events. Dresden was fire bombed and London endured The Blitz. Your ideas should be used for good, not evil. Oh, and if you claim you are "Dropping nuggets?" That sounds like the reason one has to walk the dog. Find a better vernacular.

I think this post should go Covid, um... I mean viral. Yeah, stole your line Thomas Jackson but I've always detested the term "viral" for something positive. It gives me the shudders. And agree with your take on the term "nuggets". The 1st time someone used this word, I stared at them trying to figure out if they meant something positive or negative. I actually had to Google it. I would love to hear Susan Rooks ?? the Grammar Goddess take on your post about using certain terms.

Violence has infiltrated our media and entertainment to the point one has to wonder why? Are people so thirsty for violence they want to see it in every movie, t.v. show, book? Or is it a systematic process to desensitize us to violence? Am I one of the few that thought graphic violence was not only unnecessary to the plot of most entertainment but detracted from it? I bingewatched more than a couple of tv series hiding my eyes when I sensed a violent scene about to happen. Often, I thought it was safe to watch again. It wasn't. I can never unsee those images. Why did they belabor those scenes? Excellent article Thomas Jackson. You rightly point out that violence has unnecessarily infiltrated our everyday terms.
