Baltexpo 2023 in Gdańsk proved to be an inspiring experience. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure to visit my beloved Tricity (Gdynia-Sopot-Gdańsk) nestled along the coast of the Baltic Sea.
My first impression: it was incredibly spacious AMBEREXPO - MTG SA . The large stands and high-roofed halls provided a comfortable environment for browsing exhibits and engaging in conversations. From the well-established business, to an emerging start-ups.
Everything at Baltexpo carries a strategic undertone. Business professionals naturally possess an innate sense for identifying future trends. My generation has witnessed Poland's shifting alliances between the East and the West, and occasionally, even the South (if you still remember my tenure at UniCredit).
After observing activities from a perspective - a strategic winner emerges - the North.
I have vivid memories of Baltexpo spanning several decades, starting with my first project as a member of AIESEC . It strongly revolved around maritime, transport, and the exceptional geo-position of Polish ports and shipyards. This year, three prominent themes took centre stage: Maritime, Renewable Energy, and Defence.
The Nordics have excelled in strategic cooperation, exemplified by the Baltic Pipe construction project involving Danish Energinet and Polish GAZ-SYSTEM . For instance, in September, Norwegian company KONGSBERG finalised a substantial deal valued at 16 billion NOK (marking the largest single contract in KONGSBERG's history, as shared by their CEO, Mr. Geir H??y , source: https://www.kongsberg.com/newsandmedia/news-archive/2023/nok-1.3-billion-in-operating-profit-and-continued-strong-growth).

The week of November the 1st brings a special reflection:
With a touch of adventurous spirit, I've had the privilege to compare BALTEXPO - International Maritime and Military Fair with events such as EXPO at Fiera Milano SpA , the Intersolar in Munich, and the renowned CEBIT at the HANNOVER MESSE . These places serve as reflective mirrors of economic trends, and participating in them is an immersive experience.
I owe this enriching curiosity to the exceptional individuals, who have mentored me and shared valuable insights into the business landscapes of Denmark - Niels Lundorff , Italy - Michele Malerba , and Germany - Heiko Rohwer .
Thank you with all my heart, dear friends.
It's often said that "We make our Own Future." With an unwavering optimism, I continue to explore new horizons, eagerly seeking out my next engagements.
