It is also possible to book a shared room on Airbnb here, starting at 150,000 IDR ($11) per night. A home or apartment starts at 350,000 IDR ($25) per night if you wish to book the entire property.

For street food, the prices are usually under 10,000 IDR ($0.75). A basic local meal costs closer to 15,000 IDR ($1.10 USD). You'll have to pay about 125,000 IDR ($9 USD) for decent Western food. You can expect to pay about 60,000 IDR ($4.50) for fast food and 23,000 IDR ($1.75) for a beer at the bar. A bottle of water costs less than 5,000 IDR ($0.40 USD). Purchasing weekly groceries will cost between 275,000-400,000 IDR ($20-29 USD) if you cook your meals. Don't buy imported foods, such as wine, cheese, chicken, or beef, as they are costly. The more often you buy them, the more your budget will suffer.
Transport in Bali
Bali has a very cheap transportation system. A taxi costs about 65,000 IDR ($5 USD) and a private minivan costs about 200,000 IDR ($14 USD). You can find one-way flights from Bali to most of Asia and Australia for as little as 1,000,000 IDR ($75). The island's scooter rentals start at 135,000 IDR ($10). There is also the option to rent bicycles for 60,000 IDR ($4.50) per day for a basic bicycle.
