Balenciaga joins the support for Ukraine in its last parade.
Solidarity with Ukrainian refugees was the theme chosen for Balenciaga in its Winter 2022 Collection show at Paris Fashion Week.

His creative designer Danme Gvasalia knows what it's like to be a refugee as he already ran away from another war with Russia.
“The war in Ukraine has awakened the pain and trauma that I have had since 1993 when the same thing happened in my homeland and I became a refugee forever”
That's how he thought about canceling the parade:
"But then I realized that canceling the parade would be equivalent to giving up, resigning myself to the evil that has hurt me so much for almost 30 years."
Changed his proposal giving all his support to the Ukrainian people dedicating his parade "to courage, resistance and victory of love and peace".
Backpaks that looks like garbage bags could be seen invoking the improvisation of refugees in their luggage, as they walked through the snow in strong winds. All incredible staging, reflecting their solidarity.
The parade closes with a model dressed in yellow followed by a flowing blue dress with a train, putting them in the order of greatest importance of the event.
The guests wore T-shirts with the Ukrainian flag that the designer had left on their seats. In social networks of both the brand and his own, he has deleted all the publications to leave only the parade in honor of Ukraine and the refugees.
It was also possible to see how the "Street Style" in the Parisian streets joined this support movement.
Fashion is never out of the times we live in, the Balenciaga parade is just one example.
