Dear Connections,
I am happy to share with you the wonderful news that in January 2024 my husband and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world! Becoming a mother has been an incredible and transformative experience, filled with moments of love and wonder as I start this new chapter of my life.
As I go through the joys and challenges of motherhood, I am constantly reminded of the delicate balance between caring for my newborn daughter and maintaining my professional goals. Balancing work and parenthood is indeed a journey filled with twists and turns and I am still in the process of learning how to combine those important aspects of my life.
The arrival of my little one has brought about a great shift in perspective, highlighting the importance of cherishing each moment with her. At the same time, I recognize the importance of staying connected with my work and projects and finding a new sense of flexibility and balance. I am fortunate to have a supportive network of family, friends, and colleagues who have offered great support and encouragement during this time of transition.
As a career-driven individual, I understand the desire to maintain success in my professional life while taking care of my baby girl. However, I've come to realize that this balance is not easily achieved. It requires patience, flexibility, and a supportive network to navigate the complexities of parenthood alongside career aspirations. While maternity leave provides a much-needed break to focus on bonding with my baby, there's an undeniable pull to remain connected to my project and work network.

Moreover, I've come to appreciate the importance of setting realistic expectations and boundaries when it comes to balancing work and parenthood. While it's tempting to dive back into work projects at full speed, I've learned to prioritize self-care and quality time with my little one, knowing that both are essential for my well-being and success in the long run.
To all the parents out there who are going through the delicate balance between work and parenthood, I admire you for your resilience and determination. It's not an easy journey, but with patience, support, and a healthy dose of self-compassion, we can find fulfilment both personally and professionally.
As I continue on this journey, I look forward to sharing more insights and experiences with you all. In the meantime, I invite you to join me in celebrating the joys of parenthood and the resilience of working parents everywhere.
Warm regards,
Nina
