Balancing different stakeholders

There are many different stakeholders to consider when leading a business - guests, team members, suppliers, shareholders, community to name but a few. Over the last few weeks in February, I have been at several events, with two stakeholder groups in particular - our Guests and Suppliers.

I had the pleasure of attending two Scott Dunn Private member events with our key Partners - firstly at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saison in partnership with Justin Purves and the team at Belmond . Secondly at Browns Hotel with Richard Bousfield and the team at Rocco Forte Hotels . It is invaluable in meeting with our guests face to face, talking about travel but as importantly listening to their feedback on what we do well and what we need to improve. I came away with a (short) list of actions which I am busy working through!

I have also had the opportunity to participate for the first time on the EMEA Marriott Luxury Leisure Advisory Council in Rome, experiencing the W Rome , The St. Regis Rome Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts and The Rome EDITION . This was a great opportunity to deepen this important Partnership with 万豪酒店 and also to raise the profile of Scott Dunn but equally the role of the tour operator segment in EMEA and also the USA. Thank you to Alex Easton , Inna Sukhanova and Satya Anand for inviting me to be a part of this council.

Coming up in March are activities with WiHTL to continue championing our focus on Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging; staying connected to the industry with Travel Weekly UK and Ttgluxury ; heading to Singapore and California to spend time with the fantastic Scott Dunn teams, and to Australia with my Flight Centre Travel Group colleagues.

All stakeholder groups are important - how to balance them is not easy but that is all part of being a leader.
