Fall is in full swing—work, kids' activities, health goals... it’s all happening.

And let me tell you, even the most organized among us can drop a ball or two.

Recently, I missed not one but TWO meetings with the same person! (If you know me, you know this is not my professional style) I was rattled.

We’re all juggling a million hats, and when they drop? It sucks.

But here’s the thing:

How we handle it can fuel our WorkLife Wellness—or slowly erode it.

3 Tips for Handling Those “Oops” Moments Like a Pro!

"Life's juggling act can get a little wild."

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when the balls drop, but it’s not the mistakes that define us—it’s how we bounce back.

Here’s how to turn those little setbacks into opportunities for growth:

1. Give Yourself Grace

We’re human, not robots!

Missing a meeting (or two… GAH!) doesn’t define your awesomeness.

Own the slip-up, but don’t let it eclipse your strengths.

2. Reframe the “Drop”

Instead of spiralling, take it as a sign to reassess.

Were you overcommitted?

Is it time to shuffle priorities?

Use it as a chance to tweak your approach. Remember, the smallest tweaks can have big impact.

3. Set Clear Priorities

Being busy is one thing, but what truly needs your attention today?

Focus on those tasks and let the less urgent ones slide. It’s okay to be selective!

Bonus Tip

Get intentional with your reminders. Use an app or calendar tool to nudge you before you even have time to forget!

(Note to self: Start using calendar reminders ASAP. )

Remember, perfection is overrated—progress is where it’s at. We’re all just a glorious work in progress.

I have alerts on all my calendar events! I also make a habit of looking over the day first thing in the morning in case I’ve forgotten some random event that’s not in my usual routine.
