BALANCE
BALANCE can be exact (distributing things equally), proportional (offsetting or comparing things), conceptual (a state of stability, equality or equipoise), a functional device (for measuring it), a conceptual device (for judging it), a descriptor of the counterbalancing force, and a descriptor for what is left over after accounting for everything else.
BALANCE gets additional holistic meaning in phrases like “hangs in the BALANCE†to describe precarious situations with uncertainty for the result, or “on BALANCE†to mean “with all things consideredâ€.
Doing COLLECTIVE work it becomes critically important to understand the BALANCE (and most of those meanings can apply here) – what are pros and cons (gains and losses, strengths and weaknesses, etc.) of or for the individuals, the teams, the organizations involved?
Finding your NICHE is finding your BALANCE. Finding the NICHE for teams or organizations can be a little more challenging but can be that much more impactful.
