What actions can we take to support the global village towards resolving the root-cause of food, water, and energy insecurity?
For those of us on LinkedIn, perhaps this is not a problem that we experience first-hand: food, water, and energy insecurity. Yet this is a real problem that affects billions of people. For example, 2.7 billion people experience water scarcity at least one month a year (WWF).
The problem is vast, with the changing climate, it is growing, and yet, it is solvable.
By supporting those who are working on solutions, we can resolve the root-cause of this problem. Some months ago, I was blessed to meet to Paul Omondi Otieno. Paul is the co-founder of the Kotieno Community Project, playing roles as a community leader, entrepreneur, father, farmer, and more. He's an inspiring man on a mission to resolve the root-cause of food, water, and energy insecurity in his community. Paul's story is a beautiful example that illustrates the balance between capitalizing on market opportunities to generate profit-with-purpose and embodying a generous mindset to simply give back as best we can.
So, I invited Paul to chat about the various ways that he is giving back, and how we can give back together to support the Kotieno Community Project to succeed on its mission.
