Bakersfield--As seen through my eyes

Bakersfield--As seen through my eyes

I "moo'ed" at a family of cows and continued on my way. Fifteen minutes later, I took a break and turned back and this family had followed me. So adorable.

We have had such fantastic weather here in Bakersfield lately, so I just felt inspired to share my very amateur photos of my home-town---just to let y'all know that we have beautiful moments here too!

Photo 1: Curious Cows (on the Wind Wolves trail)-- I "moo'ed" at this family of cows and went about my way. Fifteen minutes later, I turned around to take a photo shot of the mountains behind me, and I saw that this family had followed me. Maybe they thought I was a cow! I WAS wearing all black.

Photo 2: The Path of Unknowns-- There's something so intriguingly desolate about this trail if you go at the right time when no one else is around. I love empty, endless, meandering trails that lead to who-knows-where.

Photo 3: Blistering gold sunset.

Photo 4: Turbulent fire sunset

Photo 5: An oldie but goodie--1/5/2015 (after one of our rare rainstorms). I love that it was a double rainbow and that it was over my dad's church.

Proof that my city IS beautiful. You just have to look for the beauty :-).
