Baker Engineering Partners with VES, Hylio on DoD UAS TREAD Proposal
Today, Baker Engineering LLC. , a tribally owned small business focused on advanced propulsion technology submitted a prime proposal via National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC) to offer up their Tactical Resupply Enhanced Autonomy Drone (TREAD) system as a solution to solve a tactical heavy payload supply (100lbs+) delivery to soldiers where logistics are highly contested (5+Miles).
Their team represents a partnership between Baker, VES LLC - a sister company also owned by Waséyabek , and Hylio a US (Texas) based Drone Manufacturer . While Baker will serve as the hybrid propulsion and integration provider, VES will be handling software integration to legacy and future program of record C2 systems such as C2 next, TAK, CPOF, C2PC, etc. Hylio will be providing the base UAS hardware (AG-272) and software (AgroSolGCS) developed largely for Agricultural spraying applications.
Luke Wackerle , President of Baker Engineering LLC, says of the opportunity "We believe this is just the beginning of what the Waseyabek Defense team can do together, and to take a technology like Hylio's drones, our propulsion system, and have VES integrate it into an application that helps our warfighter and our vast farming community is an awesome opportunity."
