Baker Engineering awarded $1.1MM Phase II SBIR Contract for UAS Propulsion Technology

Baker Engineering was recently awarded a direct to phase II SBIR by the Army contracting command - Redstone and administered by the US Army Aviation and Missile Command.

This project will encompass the research and development of a lightweight, durable supercharged, two-stroke compression ignition engine named the Baker Heavy-Fuel Engine (BHFE). It will satisfy the US Army’s need for a small, lightweight, durable and quiet JP-8 compatible aircraft propulsion system to employ novel UAS in an every changing UAS landscape.
