ORLANDO, Fla. — Baker Barrios Architects today announced the completion of Society Orlando , a 462-unit rental tower at 410 Orange Ave. in downtown Orlando, Fla. The 27-story high-rise features nearly 100,000 square feet of amenity space, including the city’s largest outdoor pool deck at a residential building.
“Many young professionals in this market place high value on connection, especially as remote and hybrid work prospers post-COVID, so they are gravitating toward properties that provide a social outlet and a place to network,” said Jed Prest , principal and mixed-use leader at Baker Barrios Architects. “Our team took inspiration from high-end hotels to design a collection of amenities at Society Orlando that stand out in the market not only for the sheer amount of square footage dedicated to them, but also the sense of community they will enable."
In addition to the 50,000-square-foot fifth-floor pool deck, with areas for grilling, outdoor fitness and events, amenity spaces at Society Orlando include a 20,000-square-foot indoor lounge area with clubrooms and a bar adjacent to the pool deck; an 18,000-square-foot fourth-floor amenity zone that includes an expansive fitness center, vast coworking spaces and a library lounge; and an approximately 8,000-square-foot ground-level lobby that will include a full-service public cocktail bar and restaurant with lofted ceilings, concrete flooring and living walls.
Residences at Society Orlando include studios, junior one-bedrooms and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with monthly rents ranging from $1,885 to $4,545. In addition, the high-rise community offers units with individual bedrooms for rent in furnished three-bedroom apartments, with utilities divided evenly, providing an attainable entry-level market-rate housing option in one of the country’s hottest rental markets.
Baker Barrios Architects’ visually stimulating design differentiates Society Orlando from existing options in the market. For example, the residences boast 10-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a feeling of spaciousness in even the most efficient layouts. A minimalist color and material palette that includes hardwood flooring, custom cabinetry, solid-surface kitchen counters and fully built-out closets fosters a sense of comfort and home, establishing a stylish, comfortable aesthetic that can easily be enhanced by a resident’s personal tastes

Common areas straddle the line between timeless and trendy. Taking inspiration from the hospitality sector, Baker Barrios Architects designed the public spaces with a mix of industrial, textural and biophilic design elements. Lush living walls, sculptural potted plants and a mural with a botanical motif, for example, soften the spacious lobby’s exposed brick walls and mix of poured concrete and black-and-white tile flooring. Shapely upholstered furnishings, worktables and chairs, meanwhile, create distinct areas for work or conversation, such as the wood-paneled library with illuminated built-in shelving.
Society Orlando is the latest outpost of developer PMG’s Society Living brand, which also includes locations in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Denver; Atlanta; Nashville, Tenn.; and Brooklyn, N.Y. The brand, which seeks to promote culture, growth, wellness and togetherness, offers residents a unique rental model and other perks, such as regular event programming and fitness classes.
“The placemaking philosophy at Baker Barrios aligned very well with our vision to create a development that is more than a new multifamily tower but rather a community,” said Ryan Shear, managing partner at PMG. “Baker Barrios’ design enables us to execute on our event programming goals, resulting in a lively, upscale environment that attracts new residents and delivers an exceptional living experience.”
