My intellectual enthusiasm, the theoretical and practical understanding and appreciation for architecture has grown and developed to the extent that I was inspired to theorised Bajanarchitecture ? 2023 ISBN978-976-97021-8-9 .

I coined this phrase Bajanarchitecture as a linguistic concept which is the blend of two words Bajan and Architecture are combined into a new word known as a portmanteau. The term?Bajan?is a dialect which is a unique language of?Barbados.?

Bajan?dialect is one of the most prevalent attributes that connect the people of Barbados to their?African?and?English heritage a view espoused by hmb-barbados.info/en/?

The term Architecture came from the Latin word “architectura” or from the Greek word “arkhitekton.”?Arkhi?meaning “chief” and?tekton?meaning “builder.” The product of architecture are often buildings, and historical buildings are usually considered achievements in architecture. according to Mapua.edu.ph/blog architecture-university-manila/Architecture

?Bajanarchitecturecomports it self as a metaphoric marco lens since it’s function is to provide an extreme close up view. This?lens captured and?framed an ability to see that the Bajanarchitecture’s?style of art and practice of designing and the constructing of multiple buildings which gives the impression of being influenced in some ways by a process of cultural change.?

To be more explicit my hypothesis?is predicated on three facts,?

1. (a)I have seen the architecture in Europe,?
2. (b) I have researched and written extensively on culture and?
3. (c)I am a License Cultural Practitioner who is versed in several cultural theories?including the?Acculturation theory.According to Wikipedia Acculturation?is a process of social, psychological, and?cultural change?that stems from the balancing of two cultures while adapting to the prevailing culture of the society.
4. Acculturation is a process in which an individual adopts, acquires and adjusts to a new cultural environment as a result of being placed into a new culture, or when another culture is brought to someone.
5. That said in a way Bajanarchitecture is not only a portmanteau interacting with the theory of architecture and culture but a macro view which suggest that Bajanarchitecture’s?style of art and practice of designing and the constructing of multiple buildings appear to be influenced in some ways by a process of cultural change within the sphere of Bajanarchitecture’s?culture known within the precincts of culture as?Acculturation.

According to Wikipedia Acculturation?is a process of social, psychological, and?cultural change?that stems from the balancing of two cultures while adapting to the prevailing culture of the society. Acculturation is a process in which an individual adopts, acquires and adjusts to a new cultural environment as a result of being placed into a new culture, or when another culture is brought to someone.
7. This dialogue has develop a case study since it is impossible to separate Architecture and Culture according to Saurav Koirala because Architecture is the manifestation and expression of Culture.
8. So, Architecture and Culture are interdependent and inseparable. Architecture is the part of identity of each community and carries the message of culture of that society.
9. Importantly although Bajanarchitecture is a portmanteau yet it is interdependent and inseparable and it is also the part of identity of the Bajan community and carries the message of the Bajan culture.
