URB reveals designs for floating marine lab, to generate 30,000 jobs
Design and architecture firm,?URB, has revealed the design and concept for its newest project ‘Dubai Reefs.’
Aimed at generating more than 30,000 jobs in the green economy, Dubai Reefs is a floating living lab for marine restoration and ecotourism. The project includes residential, hospitality, retail, educational & research facilities.
Bahrain invests $84.4mn in infrastructure with 35 new tenders
A report has revealed that?Bahrain?awarded 35 tenders worth $84.4 million (BD31,831,381) during the first quarter of the current year for infrastructure projects.
Works Minister Ibrahim Al Hawaj added that the roads sector had the biggest share with 15 projects across the kingdom, followed by the construction sector (10), sewage (nine) and a technical maintenance project.

The region is witnessing significant investments in construction and infrastructure development, which suggests ongoing efforts to diversify the economies of Middle Eastern countries and create sustainable infrastructure for the future.
Some contractors that stood out with their contract wins last month include Larsen & Toubro, Estithmar Holding, iBuild Construction, and ILF Consulting Engineers, among others.

Oman plans for 40 tourism projects; cable car, zip line, wadi trails underway
Oman?has ambitious plans to enhance its adventure tourism industry by developing 40 new projects by the year 2025.
To attract more visitors to the country, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is executing a plan that includes more than 40 projects aimed at boosting adventure tourism beyond 2025.
The projects include developing a cable car in the?Botanical Garden?and installing zip lines in Wadi Darbat in Dhofar for the khareef season.
UAEs Etihad Rail update: Construction completed
In February, the construction of UAE’s National Rail Network, also known as?Etihad Rail, was completed and announced via a post on Twitter that commercial operations would commence.
The rail service’s freight operations were also declared fully operational last month, providing end-to-end transport solutions for various business needs.
