It can be extremely challenging to get to know a company these days.?

Most of the time, the messaging and communications that companies put out are so formal that it can be extremely difficult to get to the heart of who they really are.? Ironically, I believe that it’s the personal relationships and personalities behind a company that make it one you want to do business with.?

I’ve had the pleasure of spending fifteen years working at BadgePass, and I can honestly say that the culture and energy we have here is something truly special.? I wanted to share that energy with the world, and I felt that writing BadgePassion was the best way to do that.?

This book is a collection of short stories about who we are and what makes us unique combined with stories of my own personal career journey from working as a beverage cart girl at a local golf course when I graduated from college to being a CEO.? People always talk about “work-life balance,” but when I think of BadgePass, it is too much a part of my personal life and story to separate the two, which is why I couldn’t write this book without sharing both.

I am no expert on how to live your life or run your company, so please don’t read this book thinking it is going to give you any magical answers to solve the world’s problems!? I am just a girl who moved from New York to Mississippi to work for a company that has brought me an unbelievable amount of joy and passion.? I am simply doing the best I can to keep making this company great while also ensuring that we’re having as much fun as possible along the way.??

I truly enjoyed writing this book, as it gave me an opportunity to reflect on the last fifteen years and recognize how much I’ve grown as an individual and how much we have changed as an organization.? I hope some of the stories will make readers, including our team members, existing customers and partners, and potential customers and partners laugh and reflect on their own personal journeys and experiences with their companies.? I hope it will help someone realize their own passion or think of new ways to make work more fun.? I also hope it will encourage those who don’t know us well to reach out and get to know us better, because we are a heck of a lot of fun to work with!
