Bad things happen to good people.

That was often a phrase I would use all the time when we were bail bondsman. (Yes, we did that for over 6 yrs for those of you who didn't know.) Sometimes, people would find themselves in a bit of predicament, but that didn't mean they were bad people.

Maybe a little bit of the wrong place - wrong time.

But bad things do happen to good people all the time! It just isn't reserved for people who find themselves in trouble with the law. It can happen in any phase of our life:

?? Loss of job

?? Accident

?? Health related issues

?? Change in marital status (meaning getting a divorce ... obviously getting married is a good thing)

Sometimes we see these coming especially the 1st one and the 4th one... the other ones... not so much.

What would happen to your finances if you can no longer work? What is your plan? Would you dip into savings or retirement to keep things going? Would you have to sell your house?

If you haven't asked the question; I'm asking you now. If the worst thing happened - like it did to one of our clients... what would you do if you didn't have a living benefits policy like they did!
