Bacon and Eggs. Boom!

Welcome to the third edition of My Pack Perspectives!

This week is one tasty week! Tuck that napkin into your collar, and have your coffee ready, and enjoy.

The Power of Keto and mental health

Listening to the Mind Pump podcast this week, the lads discussed the power of diet and its effect on your mind. Namely, the benefit of adopting a ketogenic diet into your lifestyle.

Now, the chocolate loving gene in me reacted rather strongly. The diet essentially focusses on fats, not carbs, not.....<sniff, sob>....not sugar or choc......<sniff>.....chocolate. ??

The ketogenic diet was developed over a hundred years ago for pediatric epilepsy and has seen a resurgence in that field over the last three decades.

An interesting article release last month is worth a read. The link is Keto diets new frontier.

I am hoping to have Dr Iain from the article on the Man O'clock show to discuss this in more detail - stay tuned!

Iain Campbell, a researcher in Scotland, has lived with bipolar disorder since he was young. After trying the ketogenic diet, he discovered profound improvements in his symptoms — and now wants to learn if it can do the same for others. He shared his recent findings at the Metabolic Health Summit in Clearwater, Fla., on Jan. 25.

The little one

A recent post by Steven Roberts highlight the concept of letting down the inner child.

Powerful stuff and something that has featured strongly in my quest for my own mental health and I touched on last Friday.

Women of the week x 2

I, like every man, am blessed with incredible women in my life.

Battle of the sexes aside, I am so very grateful for the women I know. ??

When I reflect on the times at my lowest, a woman has been there. I have mentioned two recently who I worked for and they were instrumental in helping me get the help I needed.

Enter this week's nod to estrogenic awesomeness: Julie Gillespie eMBA MHFA and Emma Schneider who have a 'Spiral Radar' built into their wonderful psyche.

I received a call from them saying - Nick, coffee, office, asap!

Now I was thinking just a facilitation related meeting. Nope. It was a spiral-intervention. I didn't even realise I was in the spiral. ???

Women's intuition totally rocks!

Forever grateful for their insightful and perceptive guidance when it comes to guiding me on my entrepreneurial journey. Oh man, I said 'journey'.... #BanningTheWordJourney

(And Julie turned 50 last week.....happy birthday Julie! ??)

Whoa....!

Vulnerability Award of the week

This week it goes to Daniel Moussa .

The man is on a quest to smash his goal of getting healthy and losing weight in 2024.

A tip of the hat in your direction, Dan!

His recent progress post can be seen at 2024 NY Resolution update.

Making great progress Dan.
