Backup Process for SAP Analytics Cloud Systems

This article talks about the SAC Systems backup and associated process in restoring Systems back

SAP takes a full data backup of SAP Analytics Cloud customer systems once a day and Log backup is triggered at least every 30 minutes.

Corresponding data and log backups are replicated to a secondary location at least every 24 hours.

Complete data and log backups are stored in a secondary location for 14 days and the backups are deleted afterwards.

Is complete system restoration possible based on on-demand request from the customer ?

Yes, Complete System restoration alone is possible however restoration of a backup is done in only exceptional circumstances where Customer is severely impacted.

Important Notes:

Please contact your Account Executive from SAP as a first point of contact and also submit an incident on the SAP Support Portal in the meantime.

If approved, complete system restoration will be done and not individual content (i.e. Individual objects such as stories, models, applications, version data, etc.)

Due to the complexity of restoring a system, there is no time commitment on when or how long it will take and?it will cause downtime for the customer system.
