The new school season is around the corner, and Child Foundation would like to welcome the upcoming academic year through a campaign for children in high need called “Backpacks of Hope.” Thanks to your generous support during this same campaign last year, we succeeded in delivering enough backpacks and school supplies to more than 3000 children.
The goal of this campaign is to empower talented children with tools to pursue their education. We at Child Foundation are stewards of your contributions, and your contributions can make these children’s dreams’ come true. One backpack costs $30, and it is filled with required books, notebooks, and supplies.[1]
Schools located in flooded Iranian provinces, including Golestan, Lorestan, Khouzestan, etc., have especially critical needs at this time. Over 1000 schools have been significantly damaged, and our responsibility to assist students in these affected regions is immense. With your support, we will prioritize the distribution of backpacks in flood-affected regions so children can begin their academic year properly.
In April, immediately after the Nowruz holiday, Child Foundation prepared and provided more than 2000 educational packages to students in flooded areas, supporting these students to finish the school year strong. We are hopeful that with your aid through this campaign, we can provide strong ongoing support for the new school year. We invite all willing to participate in this campaign to submit their donations through Child Foundation’s mailing address (2020 N.E. 102nd Ave., Portland, OR, 97220) or through the campaign page on our website.
Through your assistance, our students can overcome the barriers that stand between them and their future educational success. Thank you for your generous support, with it we can all witness the advancement, growth, and prosperity of our students.
Please donate generously here.
[1] Our intent is to get backpacks to children before the school year starts. Backpacks are purchased and compiled in Iran. We are experiencing an unprecedented delay in receiving the renewal of our license to distribute American funds or supplies in Iran. If despite our striving, license renewal is not achieved before the school year, then your backpack donation for Iran will be used for areas in Iran with delayed school starts due to result of flooding, backpacks for children in other high-need countries Child Foundation serves, for winterization stipends for families in the coldest regions, or other support deemed critical by project staff on the ground.
