If you've ever found yourself wondering how it's already Friday when it feels like Monday was just a few minutes ago, you're not alone. Time flies, especially when you're busy not being productive.
So, what's the secret sauce to stretching each 24-hour day into a productive marvel? How do some people manage to squeeze in a full day's work, hit the gym, spend quality time with loved ones, and even—brace yourself—read a book? Is it wizardry? Time travel? Nope, it's something far less cinematic but way more achievable: good old productivity and time management.

My personal experience is one of caution in using this technique. As a manager, make sure not all decisions come to your desk. Delegate ! However, to enhance your productivity, employ the Eisenhower Matrix to identify and focus on tasks that are both urgent and important. This enables you to reduce time spent on activities that don't directly contribute to your objectives.

S.M.A.R.T Goals
The S.M.A.R.T framework turns the vague desire to "achieve something" into a roadmap for success by bringing clarity and measurability to your objectives. Here's how it works:
By using the S.M.A.R.T framework, you transform your goals from abstract ideas into concrete plans. This structured approach ensures that your objectives are not just flights of fancy but achievable milestones. Having such well-defined goals means you're not just aimlessly shooting arrows and hoping one hits the target. Instead, you’re taking calculated, efficient steps toward a well-defined endpoint.
Each goal acts as a specific target, making your aim more accurate. This increased focus naturally leads to a more efficient allocation of your time and resources. In other words, you're not just busy; you're productively busy, working on tasks that directly contribute to your clearly articulated goals. This refined focus eliminates the unnecessary hustle and streamlines your path toward success.

I find this method to be very effective. Although you always have unexpected events throughout the day, I find this method really helpful. So adopt Calendar Blocking to meticulously plan your day into segments dedicated to specific tasks. This ensures you allocate sufficient time to your most important activities, maximizing productivity.
4. The Pomodoro Technique

The Pomodoro Technique involves working in focused intervals, usually 25 minutes, followed by a 5-minute break. This approach is designed to keep your brain fresh and focused by allowing short rest periods between work sprints.

Working in shorter bursts aligns well with our cognitive abilities, maximizing focus and attention while reducing mental fatigue. In essence, it tricks the brain into viewing work as less daunting and more doable. After completing each Pomodoro, you reward yourself with a 5-minute break, offering a psychological 'carrot' that further enhances motivation and creativity.

By doing so, you encourage more focused discussions and quicker decision-making processes.Well this applies if you work in the US. But yes, here in France we do not usually have pizzas at work :)!
