The story of Beasr is rooted in a shared but personal journey -a journey filled with the excitement of new beginnings, but also the challenges of relocating to new places, both near and far.

Like many of you, my family and I have moved across the UK for work, living in a variety of regions, each with its own unique character and quirks. But our story doesn’t stop there. Our adventures also took us overseas, where we experienced the thrill and complexities of finding a home in another country, whether it was for a work assignment or a holiday retreat.

Over the years, we've relocated to several locations within the UK, and crossed the Atlantic to live in the US. We've also purchased holiday and retirement properties in the picturesque rural areas of Spain and France. With each move came a new set of challenges - legal complexities, financial considerations, lifestyle adjustments, community integration, healthcare decisions, schooling options for the kids, and the logistics of making a house feel like a home.

We quickly discovered that while estate agents could assist with the basics, the real work was left to us. We found ourselves navigating a maze of online resources, jumping from Google to TripAdvisor, diving into social media, and consulting countless forums to gather the information we needed. And that was all before we even made the decision to buy or rent!

Once we had secured our new home, the real task began organising utilities, setting up broadband, finding reliable tradespeople, sourcing domestic fuel oil in rural areas, and arranging insurances. These were not just tasks; they were hurdles that added stress to what should have been an exciting time. It was through these experiences that I realized how overwhelming the process can be, especially when moving to a rural location or a completely different country.
