Back To (some-sort) Of Running
It has been a long time since I posted anything on LinkedIn. I'm hoping that this could be the start of many things to come.
Almost 8 months back, I had posted Hope Is Life which was about how I managed to run a 10K after a freak accident. Over the past 8 months, I had tried a few things, such as a good 10K at Karam Yokathon in January, now in the middle of Hundred-Days-Of-Running (HDOR, 83 days done), and have topped it up with a half-marathon at DRHM 2023 last weekend.
I still remember some of many moments from recovery days like asking the Ortho how quickly I can get back to running while entering the surgery room, not realizing a possible disability around the corner; the first day of (attempting to) walking after surgery; and continuous support from the family.
I am glad to be back on foot and to have crossed the half-marathon finish line with a desirable time even though this is much less than the time before the accident. Thanks to god, i can hope to run again.
All this would not have been possible without the support, encouragement, and inspiration from my family, my running friends, and all my well wishers.
Tagging my running buddies who have been both inspirational and motivational which helped crossing the half marathon finish one more time. Hoping to run a full marathon sometime next year.

1 年Bhargav- good to see your way back towards "what-it-used-to-be". I know your situation was much MORE difficult than mine, but I can relate to your sentiment and feelings of being able to run again. Keep it up. WE will get there!!!
