Meet Zoom AI Companion, your new AI assistant!

AI Companion is the brand new AI assistant within the Zoom platform. With 62% of the average workday being taken up by tasks like meeting preparation, writing emails and catching up on messages. AI companion is included at no extra costs with Zoom paid services, seamlessly integrating into the familiar Zoom experience, making it easier for users to start using it right away.

But how will Zoom AI Companion assist users?

For those who miss meetings, AI Companion generates comprehensive meeting summaries, detailing who said what, emphasising essential topics, and outline next steps. Later this month it will also assist in crafting emails with appropriate tone and length. But with more features set to be announced in the coming weeks, you’ll definitely want to stay tuned with this one.

Proving value with a shrinking budget

As organisations strive to create enticing hybrid work environments that justify employee’s office visits, facilities teams face the challenge of delivering technology and workspaces that rival the comfort of home offices. Cost concerns are prevalent, with many companies seeking ways to reduce expenditures and economic uncertainty.?

To address these challenges, workplace teams must repurposing underutilised areas and tailoring these spaces to meet employee’s accessibility needs. Data analysis can provide insights into office usage, enabling informed decision-making. For instance, tools like Workspace Reservations and Zoom Rooms allow organisations to monitor desk reservations and identify which rooms are being used regularly.?

Zoom Rooms offer cost-effective solutions, allowing any space to become a hybrid meeting room with easy Zoom meeting access. Leveraging existing hardware or choosing from a flexible ecosystem of partner solutions from Neat, Logitech, Crestron and Lenovo. For maximum adaptability, all-in-one devices like Neat Board, can be placed on carts, converting any office corner into a hybrid meeting space equipped with video conferencing, screen sharing and whiteboard features.?

Ultimately, the key to setting up an effective office lies in flexibility, tailoring technology to suit the space and the evolving needs of employees.
