Back in Nashville from Cuba. What a great tour!
At the Havana Airport

Back in Nashville from Cuba. What a great tour!

It was the first time for me to visit a couple of cities that I've never been before in Cuba. Matanzas and Cienfuegos, both cities have their own charm and something to offer to everyone. I loved Cienfuegos very much. The four ladies who traveled with me to Cuba are all from Nashville and loved seeing the countryside of Cuba. They all enjoyed traveling in different types of transportation (including the public bus) and walking around each city we visited.

Arriving in Havana

Every time I have traveled to Cuba, I'd arrive in terminal 2 but, this time since we flew on Delta, we arrived at terminal 3 which is Havana's biggest terminal. The process was quick and easy. Nothing to worry about except a little rain while looking for my brother at the terminal. Once we got in the taxi, the rain stopped.

These ladies are troopers, and I love their enthusiasm. We went to my mother's house first so I'd give my mom a huge hug, for the ladies to meet her and for me to leave a few gifts for the family before continuing to our Casa Particular where we were going to stay. While we were enjoying a pleasant conversation with my family and drinking a freshly made cup of coffee, I realized that one of the ladies was missing.

It turns out; she was outside playing Dominoes with the neighbors. I have no idea how they were communicating, but all I could see is how much fun they were having together. She would speak to them in English, and they would talk to her in Spanish. It was a hilarious moment. I said to her that we had to go and she wanted to play a bit longer. So, we waited another five munites for her to place one more domino down.

Dee said that Dominoes is her favorite game and once she saw them playing, she couldn't resist to go out there and ask them if she could join them. I said to her that she was so brave to sit there and play without knowing a word of Spanish, but I was so happy to see her enjoying the moment.
