Back of the Napkin Sketch
I've been around creative people my entire life. One thing I've noticed is they are all comfortable with doing quick back of the napkin sketches. If you want to be more creative, draw more! Think of how many emails, slacks, tweets etc. that we do each day, try to balance that with quick sketches and you will be amazing at drawing quickly. Here's an early sketch of an invention of mine that turned into the Jumperoo, a very successful product introduced in 2003 and is still selling. Yay for play!

2 年That’s drawing on the bouncy side of your brain! When I ask my CS students how many are artists, one or two raise their hands. When I ask how many are “creative,” almost every hand goes up. That’s really good since they are all about to create something from nothing. Encouraging them to “fill the entire page with sketches” works wonders.
