Back at it for LLS!

Another year (my third!) and we're back at it. I've been extremely fortunate to work for a company that has really shown what it like to be all in for LLS. This year, I want to really show them that I, too, am all in. Through my involvement with LLS, I have been able to learn so much that solidifies my decision to make LLS my top cause. A few statistics and facts that really stood out to me are:

-1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will develop cancer

-1964, there was a 3% survival rate for A.L.L. (the most prevalent of childhood cancers). Today, there is a 90% survival rate. That's incredible!

-Over half of the cancer treatments approved by the FDA in the last decade were originally designated for blood cancer, These drugs are now being tested and treated on a multitude of cancers including breast, bone, colon and prostate.

- And the most staggering, to me, is that every three minutes, someone is diagnosed and every ten minutes someone loses their battle.
