Autophiles assemble: A lovely morning spent next to beauties and beasts
"It is now up to the next generation, who are enthusiastic about classic cars, to carry on the history that our previous generation began. The main objective of this event is to bridge the generation divide while also preserving automotive history,"? said Ranjit Pratap, an avid classic car collector and car aficionado. Occasionally, spotting a Ferrari or Lamborghini can brighten someone's day or perhaps their entire week. Car spotting is something that car enthusiasts are really excited for in India. With the temperature in Chennai touching 40 degrees, a gathering of classic and modern cars sounds like the perfect opportunity for every car lover. A Sunday morning can't get any better than this, the sixth edition of Cars and Coffee, hosted at the Turyaa Hotel, Chennai.
Eye candy
With the scent of high octane petrol burning in the air, the parking lot lined with classic and high-end cars seemed like something out of a teenage boy's dream. Supercars, JDMs (Japanese Domestic Market), antiques, and customised beasts were among the astounding array of vehicles that took part in the event. Reminding everyone of the history and pride of vintage cars, the 100-year-old 1924 Chevrolet foresaw a colourful collection of classic cars that were full of memories from the past.?
Vintage meets Modern
The venue was a dream come true, with a lineup of vintage classics like the V12 Jaguar E type, XJS, and Mercedes-Benz 190E arrayed against modern supercars like the Ferrari 488 GTB, 812 GTS, and Aston Martin DB11 Volante. The contemporary, sleek designs of the modern cars contrasted with the classic elegance of the older models to produce an amazing visual treat.

The Showstopper
Despite the presence of many BMWs, Mercedes- Benz, and a Thunderbird, the Aston Martin DB11 was the star of the show. Volantes have been the name given to convertible variants of Aston Martin cars since 1965. Owning the only DB11 Volante in India, Mr. Ranjit Pratap's car is a magnificent pearl blonde with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine derived from the Mercedes-Benz AMG. One of the three 812GTS in Chennai and the V12 Jaguar are the two cars that rarely appear on the city's roads were also present in the event.
Cars & Coffee: A Paradise for Petrol Heads
With the event focusing on preserving and connecting generations, Cars & Coffee is where most autophiles gather to observe and discuss automobiles whose manufacturing was halted long before they were born, as well as supercars capable of reaching 0-60 mph? in 3.9 seconds.?
