Back from the Brink: A Year of Writing and Reflection

After serving time at Terminal Island, I'm celebrating my 73rd birthday and reflecting on the past year. It's been a whirlwind of creativity and productivity.

During my incarceration, I wrote a significant number of novels. Inspired by my experiences and fueled by my passion for storytelling, I penned 15 new works. I wrote them by hand at T.I. and they are still sitting in my desk drawer. The reason the manuscripts are sitting in my drawer is that I just spent 10 hours a day, 7 days a week for an entire year rewriting, editing, formatting, and designing new book covers for my existing 25 published books. This Wednesday I took my first day off because it was my birthday, and I thought it might be a good idea to go upstairs and say hello to my woman and our dog.

The Magic of Storytelling

The strange thing about novels is that they take a life of their own. I can search for real people I know on Google, and they don’t exist. I have tried searching for my characters on Google and they come up—go figure. That is why I write. Not the money—heck I don’t have that much life left. But I have always enjoyed reading authors from long ago. A classic example would be Wuthering Heights, a novel by Emily Bronte. She created a wonderful love story that was almost two centuries ago, and yet when I read her novel, I am there on that moor in England.

My goal is to create stories that will resonate with readers long after I'm gone. Just as I've found solace and inspiration in classic works like Wuthering Heights, I hope my own writing can connect with others on a profound level.

What's Next?

As I continue to work on my unpublished novels, I'm also exploring new projects and collaborations. Stay tuned for updates on my latest endeavors!

Thank you for your continued support."
