Back Down Memory Lane
During my morning drive to the gym, I observe the street signs, the road, the people, the construction, and variety of schools.? I cannot help and think about the 2 mile walk I did? each day during? cross country practice.? All the memories in my sports journey have made me who I am today physically, and mentally.
?
Right? after eating my cereal,? Cinnamon Toast Crunch,? I? walked? to Santiago High School listening to music.? Using, the? old school Ipod Video, I listened to random songs.
?
Some days, thinking about a 10 mile was dreadful.? To say, running 10 miles was something to be happy about was not always the case.? My team and I had to always push through completion and not stop.?
?
The body is an incredible tool in life, and the mind is much more important (in my opinion).? I always believed the pain of running was not just physical, but also mental. The same goes with any type of exercise activity. One has to always push through completion.
?
Once finishing the 10 mile run, my team and I, would stretch, huddle up, and tell one another "See you tomorrow".? I enjoyed the comraderies of sports, and most importantly, working together.?
?
Nowadays, I do have a team and community wherever I go.? Whether if it is going to exercise, the local coffee shop, and the nearby park, I see a community of people working together for a common goal.? That is inspiring to me? each day, and continues to push me towards my own vision of life.
?
Whatever the vision is , it will take time, patience, effort, failures, and "hard work."
