After a wet and windy summer, the cyber community is well and truly back and we were delighted to resume our monthly Breakfast Club meet ups at 英国电信集团 , with a great line up of speakers.

Valerie Wilson took us through the three 3 Pillars of a High Performing Managed Services Business, before handing the baton to her colleague #Rachel Lutton who showcased her path from Apprentice right through to being an integral part of the company’s security team, here in Belfast.

Jenni Marshall (McCallen) , Employer Engagement Manager for Speakers for Schools outlined the innovative ways that companies can engage with them to create bespoke work experiences for young people.

Completing the line up- Rose Templeton showcased our member company Nihon Cyber Defence Co., Ltd as well as giving us a brilliant insight into her Cyberfirst journey.

Programme for Govt and Dept for the Economy

This week has seen the publication of two key documents, the #Northern Ireland Executive Draft Programme for Government and the Department for the Economy NI Delivering the Economic Vision , both of which highlighted digital technologies including Cyber Security as a significant driver for our local economy.

In an increasingly complex digital environment, where cyber is now an integral part of the protection of our Critical National Infrastructure, our call to government is to continue and increase support across education, academia, civic society and crucially, industry, to enable us to meet the challenges and opportunities that are ahead of us.
