Coach Travel plays a vital part in Britain’s future as a key connector, joining every part of the UK and further afield.

Our industry (Coach Travel being firmly in the Leisure and Tourism sector) takes millions of people away on holiday and gets people to events which might not happen otherwise. Tourist attractions, theatres and event spaces all rely heavily on the incoming passengers we transport. They play a part in reducing congestion, annually account for ￡6billion to the economy and provide over 42,000 jobs.

Once we come to the brighter times ahead and out of this pandemic, communities will want to bring tourists back into our local areas. To get people back in our theatres, shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. To reinstate educational trips and help those who have been forced to spend a considerable length of time in isolation connect with family and friends, not to mention get people back to school and work. I personally look forward to making treasured memories with those I love and havent seen in person.

My home of Lincolnshire with its glorious countryside, market towns and coast will certainly need this to recover. The visitor economy contributes ￡2.4billion across the County. It is vital that coach businesses have the support to withstand the current crisis.
