I’ve had the privilege of working with thousands of investors over the years. And I’ve taught so many investors, I’ve spoken at plenty of events, and I’ve offered so much training to people in this space. And if there’s one thing that I know to be absolutely true, it’s that every investor needs to build an unshakeable wealth foundation.

So many people in life get caught up with searching for the exotic new thing. They find it, set a strategy around it, and then they get attracted to the next new thing. They see something shiny in the distance and they start walking towards it. And what happens is that these people never end up doing what they’re supposed to do. They never put the basics in place because they keep getting pulled to the new shiny things.

Here’s the harsh truth…

If you don’t have the basics in place, what you learn won’t matter at all. It doesn’t matter what I or other professionals teach you. It won’t even matter what opportunities get put in front of you. You won’t know what to do with any of that stuff without the basics in place.

I could put the most valuable piece of real estate in the world in your hands, but you still wouldn’t know what to do with it.

So, my message here is that the new and shiny things aren’t going to get you anywhere unless you handle the most valuable piece of real estate that sits between your ears.

In other words, learn the basics and apply them. Build your unshakeable wealth foundation first and then focus on all of the other things that you can do.

If you don’t handle the basics, I can promise you that your wealth-building journey will be very short-lived.
