Back to Basics: Software Syntax

Up to this point in our series, we’ve intentionally kept things pretty broad. The fundamentals in the last two “levels” of software are relatively applicable across most languages, but now it’s time to get a bit more specific. And the first step to that is looking at the concept of software syntax. Read more.

Siemens Brings Secure Thermal Digital Twin Technology to the Electronics Supply Chain

Siemens Digital Industries Software recently announced its new approach for sharing accurate thermal models of integrated circuit (IC) packages to the electronics supply chain. The Embeddable Boundary Condition Independent Reduced Order Model (BCI-ROM) technology, which was introduced in the most recent updates to Siemens' Simcenter Flotherm software, enables semiconductor companies to develop accurate, shareable models that can be used in down-stream, high-fidelity 3D thermal analysis without exposing the internal structure of an IC. It was designed to?protect?intellectual property and?enhance?supply chain collaboration and model accuracy?for both steady state and transient thermal analysis. Read more.

ByteSnap Design for Convenience

ByteSnap Design released its?Automated Electronic Product Design Service offering hands-free design solutions aimed at accelerating product time to market. ByteSnap defines specification requirements, creates a product's path, establishes project timelines, and brings together development and testing activities, all while adjusting to ever changing requirements.

Dunstan Power , director at ByteSnap, said:?

“Our team of experienced engineers can pick up the project and meet your big-picture goals without the need for micromanagement. The main advantage of handing the design process over to ByteSnap is that even with limited engineer bandwidth your project can be completed on time and within budget, even if your own team becomes unavailable for any reason, with minimal input from you. This saves busy electronics manufacturers valuable time to spend on other projects and to focus on priority tasks within the business.”
